SFXWorks Minecraft Server is a blog following, astoundingly, sfxworks' Minecraft server. Reading the changelogs and general server updates and issues is fascinating, and it's all presented in the slightly manic tones of a server admin running on coffee and sleep deprivation, which is a feeling I personally know all too well. Obviously only people who have an interest in Minecraft or server administration will find this interesting, but they'll love it. And dear lord, look at that banner. Beautiful.

Kicking Rocks
Kicking Rocks is a personal blog, focussing on the somewhat unhelpfully named Kicking Rocks. Probably the first thing you'll notice, you definitely the first thing you'll notice, is the colour scheme. Bright yellow and black contrast, which sure as hell stopped my scrolling past and made me look. The blog mainly follows things that the author finds interesting, from Breaking Bad to Black Books, to a post on how Jigglypuff from pokemon is kind of a dick. Funny and interesting, definitely worth a look.
EDIT: Herp derp, forgot the link.

SqintyEye
Sqinty Eye is the OCD triggering name of a photography blog run by serial commenter kxxthanxx. In it, there's pages and pages of photos in and around London. If you're anything like me and wondered what London was like to live in, or what it would be like day to day, then this is the blog for you! The photos are of a consistently high quality, and they manage to have good definition without falling into the trap a lot of these blogs do by having each photo in a massive resolution. Nobody wants a photo in 3880x2183. I don't care that it's what your camera takes pictures at. Stop it.
Note: the background for his site makes me laugh every time I see it.

The Ramblings Of A Madman
Following in the recent vein of personal blogs, Ramblings Of A Madman is a blog showcasing the work and thoughts of Yawgy, a somewhat acerbic man. Topics vary from short posts of prose, to the hilarious "Drama Whoring For Fun And Profit", a topic which will hit close to home for anyone who's spent time on an internet forum. There is a fair whack of swearing, so heads up for that, but it's all part of the blog's charm.

Mind Dump
Mind Dump is a personal blog, showcasing things the author has done or has found interesting. Unfortunately for me, as I found out at about 3am last night, a fair amount of it is a bit nightmare fuel. This is a little contrasted however by the Captain Beefheart video currently gracing the bottom of the recent posts. The content varies from pictures, to videos, to just text, but it's almost always interesting to read. Worth a subscription, but don't blame me if those damn eye people haunt your dreams and you can't sleep.

A Picture A Day
A Picture A Day is a photography blog featuring, you guessed it, a picture a day. They're taken by the author Landsquid, and feature a wide array of different themes, from a late-night forest photo shoot to an indian boy getting drenched in water flowing from an eldery monk's head. They're always good, if a little odd at times. Definitely worth a look if you're a photography fan.
Also if you happen to have a blog you think should be featured, let me know! I'm always on the lookout.

Twenty Sided
Continuing the theme of linking blogs that are infinitely larger than this one will ever be, Twenty Sided is a blog run and maintained by Shamus Young. It focusses mainly on geek culture and general gaming and hardware. The main topic is essentially: What Shamus Thought Was Interesting, which is usually interesting at the least. He also posts a regular column on The Escapist, and has done several LP's of the Mass Effect series. Easily one of my personal favourite blogs, definitely worth a read.

Today I Quit Smoking
Today I Quit Smoking is a blog about one man's journey to quit smoking. It's a fascinating read to see what withdrawals are like, and to see exactly what affect quitting has had on his life. Updates are usually daily, and there's enough variety and depth to keep you reading. Spelling mistakes do appear occasionally, as you can see in the picture, but it does add an air of authenticity. Definitely worth a read, and it may well convince you to quit yourself if you're a smoker.

Ambi Games
Ambi Games is a blog dedicated to game reviews, whether new or old. As an example, recent updates have included Duke Nukem, Loco Roco, and Lego Batman, which gives a good idea of how the reviewer is happy to swing wildly across genres and time periods. Updates are relatively frequent, and has good, concise updates. Definitely worth a look if you're a gamer.
Also, if you happen to know of any blogs you think I should feature, flick me a message or post in the comments! You'd be helping that blog out and making my job easier. Everyone wins!

Teen Book Reviewer
Teen Book Reviewer is a site which, astoundingly, reviews teen books. The reviews are usually factual and concise, and give a good insight and oversight of the book and its themes. The update schedule seems to be a little erratic, but the updates are well worth it. If you're a fan of this kind of literature, it's definitely worth a look.
